Each year, the Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA) holds a statewide Drop Savers poster contest which focuses on water conservation. The contest encourages students to get engaged and learn more about water conservation. The overall goal is to create awareness at a young age, so that students can find interest in water quality and the importance of conserving one of life's most valuable resources.

Water utilities throughout the state can participate by hosting a local contest with schools in their area. The water utilities get to decide which prizes they will offer. The contest also creates an avenue for the water utilities to build local partnership with schools and residents.

Our District looks forward to hosting this contest annually.

Learn more about the contest and about previous statewide winners by visiting FSAWWA Public Affairs Home Page.

2024 Drop Savers Contest

Updated on 03/19/2024 1:48 PM

This year, we chose to partner with the Immokalee Middle School. We received 183 entries into the contest from grades 6th, 7th and 8th. The artistic ability and originality that students displayed was beyond amazing. Students did a great job at depicting their water conservation message. The photos in this album contain the artwork of the top 10 winners selected by a panel of judges.
